What activity I’m participating in outside of yoga & what I’m learning:When I'm not doing yoga I am chasing around my 1.5 year old, Jackson. He loves to be outdoors so it's always my goal to get us out whether to the beach, mountains or the zoo. I am learning to look at all the small (and big) miracles in everyday life with wonder and awe. It's so cool to witness life through a child's eyes, I am working on bringing more of that into my own perspective.
What I’m focusing on in my daily yoga practice & what I’m learning: I'm focusing on loosening my grip around perfection. Sometimes I get so caught up on making sure things look perfect whether it's a pose or a conversation that I miss the message. I am learning that showing up perfectly UNperfect is a scary but empowering practice and that most of the time the message is in the mess.
Purchase I’m enjoying:Vitamix- we splurged and bought one a while back but it continues to amaze me, I can whip up smoothies for the whole family or make purees with it. I always feel super healthy chugging down lots of fruits and veggies I've blended in it!
