CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

We offer meaningful, uncomplicated yoga classes in an upbeat and welcoming atmosphere that will give you opportunities to explore, expand and evolve so that you always have the tools to release, reset and repeatedly create a healthy mind-body connection everywhere in your life. We specialize in heated vinyasa yoga classes where the room is heated with infrared heat 90-100°. All classes are open to beginners - if you are reading these words, you are ready. It’s time to start!

POWER VINYASA YOGA 🔥

We start slow and gentle to warm up the body and get it ready to move into a dynamic flow where we integrate breath with movement in a playful dance of Yoga postures. Learn the importance of proper foundation and alignment through the experience of somatic (relating to the body, distinct from the mind.) sensing.

This is an all-level class aimed to improve strength, balance and mobility. The theme and pace of the class will depend on the teacher leading and the needs of the class. Modifications of Yoga poses are offered throughout the class allowing students to personalize their practice to best serve their needs or goals. Most importantly, this class is about showing up, letting go and discovering joy. 🔥 heated 90-100°

HOT BASIC YOGA 🔥

Nervous about stepping onto a yoga mat for the first time in a while?  This class is for you.  We all have to start (or start again) somewhere and this is it.  In this class, you will be guided and supported with awareness and movement that you are ready for now.  You will learn where you can amp up our standard Vinyasa Yoga class or take it down so that any yoga class can be adapted for the rest of your life.

Class will be heated with infrared heating and you will sweat -but it won't feel like a swamp.  Expect to surprise yourself and laugh a little (or a lot).  We suggest you come to this class every week so that consistency starts to create the habits you want for your life.  🔥 heated 90°

YIN-YASA YOGA

Who doesn't like a candlelight yoga session to bring in the chill vibes and peaceful intention that radiates through this class?

Yin = the longer deeper holds on the floor

Yasa = the flowy part of the class.

This class will mix both so you have a bit of movement and lots of stretchy stuff.

The class is warm, not hot.

Yin YOGA ❄️

Yin is the the calming counterpart to the more on-the-go high intensity yang movements like Running, Cycling, Triathlon, Cross Fit & Power Vinyasa Yoga.

All yoga shines a spotlight on the blind spots you've developed from years of training, and because of the mellow, slow and focused approach, yin yoga can be surprisingly intense and restorative. Poses are maintained anywhere from 72 seconds to 5 minutes - that then produces a dramatic effect on the tight, sore and often inflamed muscles, tissues, fascia and joints that athletes have from repetitive motion.

You'll be amazed at the power you develop as a result of staying somewhere uncomfortable. Bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps are provided. ❄️ Not heated.

RELEASE + RESET (SOMATIC HEALING)

Feeling anxious, in your head, or overwhelmed? Or perhaps you’re not sure what you feel, and desire connection and a safe space to be YOU. Somatic Movement is a practice of mindfully inviting your internal sensations to be expressed throughout your body. This kind of movement is deeply therapeutic, and is where you can rediscover feeling free and peaceful again.

You will be guided through a sequence of movements, breath work, tremoring, and toning that are scientifically proven to relieve pain, release muscular tension, improve posture, movement capacity, and emotional health, and promote nervous system regulation and healing throughout the body.

After a Somatic Movement practice you will feel more, embodied, more alive, and more balanced.

The room is warm from the previous class, but not heated.

ACRO YOGA

AcroYoga or Partner Acrobatics is a playful and intentional physical activity. It is often referred to as "The Yoga of Trust", and we promise you will find out what that means in your first class. Acro is practiced with at least 2 people AND you don't need a partner to attend!  Come solo! Super fun and this class is not heated.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE ❄️

Self-myofascial release is the practice of using various tools, various amounts of pressure, and self-guided manual therapy techniques to target the layers of fascia in our bodies. Fascia exists within all of us - an interconnected web of uninterrupted connective tissue surrounding muscles, organs, and bones, from our head to our toes and everything in between. There is much conversation about the benefits and effects of myofascial release, including the ability to hydrate the layers of tissue beneath our skin, increase blood flow and circulation, increase our proprioceptive awareness in our bodies, and can serve to calm the nervous system.

In this class, we will use various tools to slow down, tap into deeper breathing, and focus on increasing our proprioceptive awareness of how our body is communicating when we apply specific pressure to our feet, legs, hips, mid-back, shoulders, chest, and even our jaw and skull.

This head-to-toe practice will be interactive, and we'll still have time for a juicy savasana to let the effects of this educational movement practice sink in.
