Make your days smooth….

With a smoothie! Smoothies are an easy way to get in a variety of local fruits and vegetables. They are a great way to get a hit of energy. Liquids absorb more quickly into our system than solids. Tricia likes to drink smoothies daily for her breakfast but they are great any time of the day!

Did you know that the order you add your ingredients to the blender matter? You’ll want to start by adding your liquids, followed by any powders, then any loose greens, lighter fruits and vegetables (cucumber, fresh berries) and frozen items last.

Ingredients matter! If you’re using frozen fruit, make sure you buy the unsweetened/no sugar added fruit. Not all coconut water is treated the same either. Look for the coconut water with no added sugar and minimal ingredients.
